Video: Allan McGregor ‘Buzzing’ After His Rangers Return is Confirmed

Allan McGregor has officially returned to Rangers this afternoon – and the veteran goalkeeper looked absolutely delighted to return to Ibrox.

After a five-year spell in the English Championship and Premier League with Hull City, as well as a one-year stint in Turkey with Besiktas, McGregor has came back to the club he made his name at as a youngster, and signed a tw0-year contract with the Gers.

At 36, McGregor’s best days are perhaps behind him but, as a goalkeeper, he could still have several decent campaigns ahead of him, and he described the move back to Glasgow as a no-brainer when interviewed by Rangers TV earlier today:

Given Rangers already have two more than adequate goalies in the shape of Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick, McGregor’s signing might seem like a slightly odd one to some supporters, but what do you think?

Will he go straight into Steven Gerrard’s starting XI from the start of next season?
