Video: Bayern Goalie Sven Ulreich Drops Unbelievable Clanger Against Real Madrid

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sven Ulreich all but gifted Real Madrid a place in the Champions League final tonight by somehow dropping an incredible clanger at the Bernabeu.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper has been Bayern’s first-choice shot-stopper since Manuel Neuer suffered a serious foot injury back in September, and has largely impressed for the German giants.

But Ulreich managed to come up with his first major howler of the season at the worst possible moment after he failed to control a routine pass-back from midfielder Corentin Tolisso:

Up until that point, the tie looked evenly poised, and looked as though it might even edge towards Bayern’s favour, but Ulreich’s mistake made it 4-2 on aggregate and meant his side needed at least two more goals to stage an unlikely comeback.

What do you make of the error?

Should Bayern make it a priority to go out and sign a more experienced back-up goalkeeper in the summer?
