Moussa Dembele continued his strong finish to the season tonight by powering home a header for the France Under-21 side in a friendly with Italy.
The Celtic striker endured a frustrating 2017/18 campaign which was often blighted by repeated injuries, but he soon found his feet in the spring time, and was quickly back scoring crucial goals for the Hoops.
And it seems his impressive form stretches to international football too.
Starting tonight’s match in Paris, Dembele shrugged off any disappointment of not being included in Didier Deschamps’ senior squad for the World Cup and proceeded to take his first opportunity of the match from close-range:

Dembele has been knocking on the door of senior call-up for a while now, and that’s his ninth goal for the Under-21s – including a 12-minute hat-trick for Les Espoirs against Slovenia in November last year.
But will he still be a Celtic player come the start of next season – or will the cash-rich Premier League temp him down south?
