Video: Patrick Roberts Scores on Final Celtic Appearance in Scott Brown’s Testimonial

Patrick Roberts signed off from Celtic duty this afternoon by scoring in his final appearance for the club in Scott Brown‘s testimonial match at Parkhead.

The Manchester City winger has been on-loan in Glasgow for the last two-and-a-half years but now seems certain to return to the Etihad this summer and continue his promising career in the English Premier League.

But the 21-year-old has become something of a hero to the Hoops supporters, and he would’ve obviously wanted to score one last goal in-front of the jubilant Celtic Park crowd, and that moment came this afternoon against the Republic of Ireland.

Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane brought their side to Paradise to mark Brown’s 10 years of service to Celtic, but it was Roberts who managed to steal some of the headlines with his second-half goal:

Whilst Roberts is returning to English football this summer, do you think there’s any chance at all that he could be back in the iconic green and white shirt at some point in the future?
