Shinnie was shown a yellow card for a pretty reckless challenge on Brown during Aberdeen’s surprise 1-0 win at Parkhead, prompting a frank exchange of views between the pair.

Brown is known for dishing out some pretty tasty tackles himself, but has been on the receiving end several times against Aberdeen this season, including Sam Cosgrove and Shay Logan’s attempts to hurt the Hoops skipper at Pittodrie earlier in the campaign.
Speaking to the media this afternoon ahead of this Saturday’s Scottish Cup final, Brown didn’t seem too impressed with Shinnie’s conduct, and his response hinted at some retribution when the two sides meet next:

Given he’s now retired from international football, Brown has very little to think about in a football sense once this weekend’s game is done and dusted – and we reckon he could be mulling over this Shinnie spat for some time to come yet.
We’re already waiting patiently for the first Aberdeen v Celtic encounter of the 2018/19 season.
