Incoming Rangers boss Steven Gerrard kept a close eye on the Ibrox club’s final Premiership match of the season yesterday despite being in Dubai, whilst his new assistant Gary McAllister has been joking about the scoreline.
The two Liverpool legends were at a promotional event for the Premier League giants in the Arab Emirates over the weekend but were paying particularly close attention to events at Easter Road, as the Gers finished their disappointing domestic season in dramatic fashion.
After 20 minutes or so, Rangers were 3-0 down at Hibs, but managed to secure an incredible 5-5 draw and finish third in the table – and Gary Mac was able to see the funny side as he addressed Liverpool fans during a Q&A yesterday:

Gerrard and McAllister have yet to officially take the reins in Govan, but they’ll have known well before yesterday’s match just how much work was needed behind the scenes.
But every Liverpool fan an unofficial Rangers supporter? What do you think?
