Steven Naismith may count himself lucky that he wasn’t given an early red card in Hearts‘ clash with Tynecastle this afternoon.
It’s been great first half in today’s only Scottish Premiership match, with Kyle Lafferty blasting the Jambos into an early lead before Dedryck Boyata headed home.
There’s been plenty of action at either goal as well as some meaty challenges in midfield between two teams who have enjoyed fiery clashes this season.
And Naismith has been involved in all of that.
He’s clashed with Brown on a number of occasions, starting with this challenge on the Hoops captain in the sixth minute.
But should he have seen red for it?
Should’ve been a red card for Naismith. Shocking challenge on Brown. pic.twitter.com/tFN85U7Zgf

Stephen Craigan was critical of the tackle in commentary, while Ally McCoist admitted that Naismith had no need to put his foot in once the ball was played.
But referee Bobby Madden didn’t even deem it a foul.
Was that the right decision?
