Celtic and Rangers ‘Hold Talks’ with Sheffield Wednesday’s Sean Clare

Both Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers have held talks with Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sean Clare, according to various reports in online today.

The 21-year-old has established himself as one of Wednesday’s most impressive central midfielders in recent years but his contract is due to expire this month, leading to reported interest from various different clubs across England.

And according to HITC, both Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard are also interested, with both halves of the Old Firm divide already holding talks with Clare, with a minimal development fee due in return for signing him on a free transfer.

The likes of Aston Villa, West Brom and Sunderland have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Clare, but a move to Glasgow – regardless of which side of Glasgow – looks like it might be one of the most attractive options open to the dynamic play-maker.

What do you think of the reports? Where will Clare end up?
