Everyone’s Thoroughly Disappointed with Paul Pogba’s Performance in France v Peru

France have qualified for the knockout stages of the World Cup after a tense 1-0 victory over Peru – but Paul Pogba has come in for a lot of criticism after a rather underwhelming display.

Les Bleus secured their safe passage to the last-16 following a solitary first-half goal from PSG superstar Kylian Mbappé, in a game that saw few clear-cut chances for either side.

Given he’s playing for his country in a role that he enjoys, many thought this could be Pogba’s time to shine on the international stage, but he struggled to dominate Peru’s stubborn and energetic midfielders.

The £89 million Manchester United star is no stranger to taking heat from supporters if things don’t go as planned – and if he’s wise he’ll keep away from Twitter for the next few hours at least:

Did Pogba really play that poorly? Does he deserve all of this critcism?

What do you think?
