Celtic could be about to offer Moses Odubajo the opportunity to resurrect his career, with the right-back joining up with the Hoops at their pre-season training base in Austria.
Brendan Rodgers is known to be in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer, particularly at right-back, with Mikael Lustig turning 32 later this year and centre-back Marvin Compper apparently not in the manager’s plans.
And 24-year-old Odubajo could prove to be a viable solution, after he left Hull on a free transfer following the end of the English Championship season.
The Tigers splashed out more then £3 million to sign Odubajo from Brentford back in 2015 but the last two years have been nothing short of a nightmare for the ex-England youth international, who has battled several severe knee injuries.
His last game was a pre-season friendly in July 2016, but he appears to be full-fit now, and has touched down in Linz for talks with Rodgers, and to potentially show what he can do.
Celtic face Vorwarts Steyr in Austria tomorrow, but it’s unlikely Odubajo will play any part.
