Tim Krul has sent a light-hearted come-and-get-me plea to Rangers after sending a message of goodwill to the Glasgow club’s new Under-23 coach Peter Lovenkrands.
A former Ibrox hero during his playing days, Lovenkrands returns to Glasgow to work under Steven Gerrard, and knows Krul well from their time together at Newcastle United several years ago.
It seems the Holland international is still keeping tabs on his old pal’s career, as he wished him good luck on Instagram earlier today – and, well, sort of offered himself to the Gers in the process:
The 30-year-old was once one of the most sought-after goalkeepers in the English Premier League after excelling at St. James’s Park – and he was recently linked to Barcelona as the club’s new back-up – but it looks like he’ll be released by Brighton this summer.
Rangers already have Wes Foderingham, Jak Alnwick and Allan McGregor on their books, so you’d think there wouldn’t be any room for Krul, right?
What do you think?
