Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has started his stint as a World Cup pundit this afternoon by taking aim at Cristiano Ronaldo – and questioning his performances for Portugal.
Mourinho is being paid a small fortune to spend a chunk of the tournament in Russia analysing matches for host broadcasters RT, and was on-hand to give his views on the hosts’ thumping 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia this afternoon.
Jose Mourinho gives the Russia manager 'man of the match' because he made the right decisions. Very detailed analysis of his decisions.

A Portuguese native, Mourinho will be hoping his compatriot Ronaldo will bang in a goal or two against Spain in their opening match tomorrow night, but he doesn’t seem too convinced the superstar will be able to reach the same spectacular heights he manages at club level.
Jose: "One thing is Ronaldo for Portugal. Another is Ronaldo with Real Madrid. We don't have a Modric or a Kroos."

They might not possess a Modric or Kroos but Portugal still have the likes of Bernardo Silva and PSG’s Goncalo Guedes, and they’re still the reigning European Champions.
Surely they’ll be able to whip up enough opportunities for Ronnie against the Spanish in Sochi?
