Manchester United Fans Really Frustrated Watching Ivan Perisic’s Performance Against Argentina

Manchester United supporters watching tonight’s World Cup fixture were noticeably frustrated throughout as Croatia‘s Ivan Perisic put in a stellar display against Argentina.

The 29-year-old winger was heavily linked with a move from his current club Inter Milan to Old Trafford last summer, with Jose Mourinho keen to strengthen his options in the wide areas.

As it turned out, United wouldn’t pay the reported £50 million fee the Italians wanted, and Perisic stayed put, although there’s a lot of Red Devils supporters watching his performance tonight who are wishing Ed Woodward had stumped up the cash.

Perisic’s tireless lung-bursting runs, combined with his teasing crosses and committed tackles singled him out as one of the game’s outstanding players – and it hasn’t gone unnoticed on social media:

Of course, United have signed Brazil midfielder Fred earlier today, and they signed Alexis Sanchez last January, but is there any chance Mourinho could launch another bid to bring him to England?
