The holding midfielder has finally joined Jurgen Klopp’s men after a mammoth chase by the Reds, with his transfer from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig now complete a year later than Liverpool would’ve hoped.

Given Keita represents Guinea at international level, he wasn’t required for World Cup duty this summer, and was required to begin life as a Liverpool player when the first batch of players return to Melwood on July 2, but the 23-year-old was having absolutely none of that.
Reporter for The Mirror David Maddock has revealed on Twitter that Keita had specifically requested to be put through his paces by Liverpool fitness coach Conall Murtagh on Wednesday afternoon, rather than taking a few extra days to adjust to life in England:
Anyone wondering what type of player @LFC have signed in Naby Keita, had confirmation that the training session at Melwood today with fitness coach Conall Murtagh was at his own request. He's not due to start officially until July 2. #commitment pic.twitter.com/0SCHPINc5I

Any Liverpool fan with any doubts over Keita’s desire and work-rate can probably rest at ease.
How do you think he’ll fare in England?
