Rangers fans should be very excited after seeing Anthony Knockaert‘s goodbye message to Connor Goldson.
The Brighton and Hove Albion defender appears on the verge of a £3.5million move to Ibrox, according to reports.
But, as of yet, there’s been no definite word from the club on his signing and supporters remain waiting for Steven Gerrard’s latest summer signing.
Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor were tied up early on this summer, while Jamie Murphy’s permanent move from Brighton soon followed.
Now Goldson is expected to follow – and the goodbye message of Knockaert to the defender suggests confirmation isn’t far away.
Taking to his Instagram story last night, the Frenchman wished Goldson all the best:

That certainly points towards Knockaert knowing Goldson is on the way out of Brighton – and everything else points towards Rangers being his destination.
The English defender signed for Brighton from Cheltenham in 2015, going on to make 42 appearances for the clubs as they won promotion to the English Premier League before establishing themselves as a top flight outfit this season.
He’ll be Gerrard’s fourth signing of the summer and there are sure to be more to follow between now and the end of the window.
