Rangers fans should notice something very subtle in Hummel‘s latest tweet about being the club’s kit manufacturer.
Much of the attention today is on Steven Gerrard and how he’s officially started his role as first team manager.
But it’s also the day that Rangers end their kit deal with Puma and begin working with Hummel, who were announced as technical kit supplier in a deal reportedly worth £10million to the club.
Now fans are just desperate to see a new strip revealed, with plenty hopeful that an orange away or European strip is unveiled.
There have been plenty of calls for that on social media – and some supporters got very excited after seeing a fake one hit the shelves in Turkey recently – but will Hummel indulge?
A tiny detail from their latest tweet suggests they could.
This is what the Danish sportswear brand put out this morning:
Today we become official Technical Sponsor to @RangersFC
Soon, Steven Gerrard and the team will return for pre-season and will wear our iconic chevrons.
Our journey together will then truly begin…#LetsGo #teamhummel #sharefootball pic.twitter.com/CLa1N4sfU6

And, as pointed out by one supporter on Twitter, if you stop the gif just at the right time, you can see the colour change to orange:
Is that a hint to an orange strip release? We certainly think so.
