Rangers Rename Training Complex the Hummel Training Centre

Rangers have renamed their training complex the Hummel Training Centre this afternoon, as Steven Gerrard continues his preparations for the start of the new campaign.

The Ibrox club signed a deal worth £10 million over three years with the Danish kit manufacturers back in April, and now it seems the agreement has stretched to naming rights on their Auchenhowie base as well.

No fee has been revealed by the Rangers hierarchy as yet but such an agreement is likely to be worth in excess of several million pounds and will be seen as welcome income by Gerrard and his team.

In the modern game, clubs selling the naming rights to their stadium is pretty common, but what do you think of Rangers’ decision to partner up with Hummel?

And should they consider renaming their iconic Ibrox Stadium if it brings in valuable income that can be spent on new squad members?
