Some Bookmakers Have Brendan Rodgers Listed Among Next Real Madrid Manager Betting

Some bookmakers have Brendan Rodgers among the betting for the next Real Madrid manager.

The Celtic boss is enjoying his summer after leading the Hoops to another domestic treble as well as European football after Christmas.

Considering he won the treble in his first season and has had back to back campaigns in the Champions League playing an entertaining style of football, Rodgers’ stock couldn’t be much higher at the moment.

But is his reputation big enough that he merits being discussed for the Real Madrid job?

We’re not sure – but two bookmakers have included him in their pricing for the next manager at the Santiago Bernabeu anyway.

Rodgers is listed at 33/1 with Boyle Sports, while Marathon Bet list him at 40/1 to replace Zinedine Zidane with the European champions.

He actually sits ahead of some other big names in the betting, including Laurent Blanc and Jose Mourinho.

Could Rodgers become the Real Madrid manager? It’s unlikely at the moment, but it isn’t entirely unbelievable considering he apparently speaks Spanish well and some of his coaching staff have been taking lessons too.

He’s made no secret of his desire to manage in Spain either so maybe a move there after Celtic makes more sense than an immediate return to England?
