St Mirren to Hold Face-to-Face Talks with Ex-Barcelona Striker Patrick Kluivert

Former Barcelona and Holland striker Patrick Kluivert is set to hold face-to-face talks with St Mirren later this week as the Scottish Premiership club aim to find a new boss.

The Buddies are on the lookout for a new manager after Jack Ross decided to swap Love Street for Sunderland, just a matter of weeks after leading the Paisley side to promotion from The Championship.

Ex-Real Madrid and Spain midfielder Guti has been linked with the St Mirren hot-seat since the weekend but STV are reporting that Kluivert has jumped the queue and will now have sit-down talks with chairman Gordon Scott.

The other candidates include former Hearts boss Robbie Neilson and ex-Ross County manager Jim McIntyre, but the prospect of having one of the biggest names in European football cutting his teeth in management in Scottish football is definitely an intriguing thought.

Who do you think should be given the gig?
