Video: Canadian TV Pundit Bizarrely Slams Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher in Lionel Messi Rant

A Canadian TV pundit has bizarrely slammed Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher while outlining his belief that Lionel Messi isn’t the greatest player of all time.

Sid Seixeiro forms one part of Sportsnet TV talk show Tim & Sid and they’ve been busy giving their views on the World Cup in Russia, which has had no shortage of talking points so far.

We’re not sure if the show sets out to be controversial, but their segment on Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo being the greatest player ever was full of controversy.

And it mainly came from Sid, who laid into Messi and a few others following Argentina’s embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Croatia last night.

The defeat leaves Argentina with just one point from their first two group games and they’ll need a miracle in the remaining matches to make it into the last 16.

For Seixeiro, last night’s performance is just another example of how Messi can’t cope without quality teammates and that’s why Ronaldo deserves the best ever accolade.

The rant includes some harsh comments about Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher too:

That is one mental rant.
