Video: Celtic’s Mikey Johnston Scores Stunning Solo Goal For Scotland U21s Against England

Celtic winger Mikey Johnston reminded the UK of his incredible talent this evening by scoring a stunning solo goal for Scotland Under-21s against England.

The two British rivals met in the semi-finals of the Toulon Tournament in France this evening, with Scot Gemmill’s side the firm underdogs to reach the weekend’s final.

But few had banked on Hoops teenager Johnston, who was clearly in the mood to make a name for himself on the big stage, and he gave Scotland the lead before half-time, only minutes after West Brom’s Ollie Burke had rattled the post for the Scots:

Johnston, 19, has featured in the Celtic first-team several times under Brendan Rodgers over the past two seasons and has been earmarked as a potential star for some time now.

But if coaches at the Parkhead club were hoping to keep his talent quiet, they can think again after tonight.

What do you think of the goal?
