Brazil got their bid to win a record sixth World Cup up and running this evening against Switzerland – and it was a screamer from Phil Coutinho that opened their account.
All eyes were on the world’s most expensive player Neymar in Rostov in the build-up to the match, with the PSG superstar freshly recovered from a broken foot, but it was an ex-Liverpool man who was quick to steal the headlines from his compatriot.

After leaving Anfield for Barcelona during the January transfer window for a whopping £140 million, Coutinho has endured a frustrating time of things, as he watched his former colleagues in England go all the way to the Champions League final in his absence.
However, winning the famous Jules Rimet trophy in Moscow on July 15 would probably make up for his tricky start to life in Spain.
Do you think the Brazilians have what it takes to win the entire tournament?
