When Neymar broke a bone in his foot back in February, it looked like the Brazil international would struggle to return to fitness in time for the World Cup… but he proved us all wrong with a stunning goal this afternoon.
PSG’s talisman was substituted during their match against Ligue 1 rivals Marseille three months ago, an injury which eventually rulled him out for the rest of the campaign.
While that was a massive blow to the French champions as they were eliminated from the Champions League, it was also a major concern to Brazil boss Tite, who faced the prospect of a World Cup without his best player.
Thankfully for Brazil, Neymar appears to have made a full recovery though, making his return to action at Anfield today in a friendly against Croatia.
It didn’t take the former Barcelona winger long to get involved either, as he danced past the Croatian defence with a trademark run.
And the finish? Fantastic.

Brazil managed to build on Neymar’s opener, with Roberto Firmino bagging a second goal before full-time to secure a deserved 2-0 win.
Neymar is amongst the favourites to win the World Cup’s Golden Boot, alongside Antoine Griezmann and his former team-mate Lionel Messi.
And on this form? It looks a serious possibility.
