The domestic season might be over… but Oliver Burke isn’t on the beach quite yet.

The West Brom winger is currently enjoying a brilliant vein of form at the Toulon Tournament for Scotland’s U21s, having followed up his goal against France with another beauty this afternoon.

Burke moved to the Baggies from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig for a fee in the region of £15 million last summer.

However, despite making just 19 appearances and eventually being relegated from the Premier League, the 21-year-old hasn’t allowed a disappointing campaign to affect his form on the international stage.

In fact, you do have to wonder how Burke hasn’t been included in Alex McLeish’s squad to play Mexico tonight… especially when the Kirkcaldy-born wide-man is scoring goals like this one against South Korea:

With Burke causing all sorts of problems for opposition defences in France, it looks like it’s more a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’ he gets a a recall to the senior Scotland squad.

In the meantime, the Tartan Army will just enjoy his performances in Toulon… and keep their fingers crossed that he can get into a rhythm with West Brom next term.
