Rangers have released a rather brilliant time-lapse video of the renovations currently taking place inside the club’s Ibrox Stadium – and it’s safe to say it looks like the famous hallowed turf will be in gleaming condition for the start of Steven Gerrard’s reign.
As we’ve told you previously, a lot has been talked about in the media in recent weeks surrounding the money being ploughed into the stadium at Rangers’ bitter rivals Celtic, with the Parkhead club investing around £4 million this summer.
But it appears Dave King has invested a few quid in his own ground too, with an entire new pitch laid during the close season – with everything set to be in place for the start of the Govan club’s Europa League qualifiers in mid-July:
