Spurs have announced Harry Kane has signed a new contract with the club – and they’ve managed to use their new stadium’s big screen to announce the news.

The England striker is preparing for the World Cup in Russia this summer, and has put any doubt surrounding his club future to bed by putting pen-to-paper on a deal which will run until 2024 – and will reportedly double the 24-year-old’s weekly wages.

White Hart Lane Mk II is still under construction, with the finishing touches being put on to the new ground ahead of the new Premier League season, Spurs used one of its newly installed screens to make an exciting announcement on Friday afternoon:

Kane’s previous contract, which was announced in December 2016 and was reportedly worth more than £100,000 a week, had been due to expire in 2022 but, according to the Sun, Kane’s new deal is apparently worth in the region of £200,000 per week.
