Australian World Cup Star Daniel Arzani Close to Celtic Loan Move, According to Reports

Celtic are in the running to land Australian World Cup star Daniel Arzani, after the player signs a permanent deal with Manchester City, according to reports Down Under.

The 19-year-old play-maker was part of his country’s squad in Russia this summer, and came on a substitute in all three of the Socceroos’ group matches before they were eliminated.

And according to various reports online, Arzani is on the brink of a £250,000 transfer to Pep Guardiola’s side from Melbourne City, but is unlikely to be used by Guardiola, and will be sent out on-loan for the 2018/19 campaign and possibly beyond.

PSV Eindhoven have been mentioned as potential suitors for Arzani, but the Daily Record claim Brendan Rodgers is in poll position to land the exciting teenager – with a loan deal for TWO seasons mentioned as a possibility.

Arzani is thought to be one of Australian football’s hottest up-and-coming prospects, but do Celtic really need another attacking midfielder?

Shouldn’t defensive reinforcements be more of a priority at the moment?
