
Chelsea are on the verge of signing goalkeeper Jack Butland from Stoke City – well, if you believe where the money is being placed at the bookies.
The England international is known to be available for transfer this summer for the right price following Stoke’s relegation from the Premier League in May, and the Stamford Bridge club might well be on the lookout for a goalie.
Their current first-choice shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois is being linked with a mega-money transfer to Real Madrid, and has reportedly told the Chelsea hierarchy he won’t be extending his deal beyond next summer.
Given Alisson Becker has joined Liverpool, and there aren’t too many elite replacements on the market for Chelsea to aim for, a player like Butland might be the solution.
And according to the bookies, it could be on the cards:

Sky Sports are also claiming Butland is being considered as a potential solution to Chelsea’s goalkeeping issue, so could the deal really be about to happen?
