Bookies Slash Odds on John Terry Joining Celtic This Summer

Bookmakers have slashed odds on John Terry joining Celtic this summer, as the Chelsea legend weighs up his options ahead of the new league season.

Terry, now 37, played a crucial role in Aston Villa’s run to the Championship Playoff Final last season, but the Midlands club’s financial problems meant Terry was unable to stay for a second season, and he left on a free transfer last month.

Frank Lampard’s Derby County remain the 1/2 favourites to snap up Terry, according to the Scotsman, but if the Rams fail to secure his signature, Celtic are second on the list of front-runners.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are priced at 5/1, with the Hoops known to be in the market for defensive reinforcements during the current transfer window.

Glasgow rivals Rangers are also mentioned as potential suitors, at 8/1, alongside a host of MLS clubs.
