David Milinkovic has said his goodbye to Hearts and their fans amid talk he’s about to sign for Hull City.
The Frenchman spent last season on loan at Tynecastle, appearing 26 times for Craig Levein’s men and helping them turnaround a very poor start to the campaign under Ian Cathro.
Milinkovic departed Gorgie at the end of the season firmly as a fans’ favourite and everyone would have been hoping a deal could be done to take him from Genoa on a permanent basis.
But as time has passed it’s seemed more and more unlikely that Milinkovic will be a Hearts player next season.
And after recent reports that the Jambos were unable to meet his wage demands and that Hull City appear set to sign him, Milinkovic has taken to Instagram to thank the supporters for what was a memorable campaign:
Milinkovic really is a popular player and you’ll see that in the responses to his heartfelt post.
