Exciting Barcelona Teenager Joel Lopez Confirms Arsenal Transfer on Social Media

Arsenal appear to have nabbed one of Barcelona‘s most promising talents, after teenager Joel Lopez confirmed on social media this he’s moving to the North London club.

The 16-year-old defender has came through the ranks at Barca’s world famous La Masia complex, and was highly-rated by the club’s hierarchy and expected to soon make the breakthrough to the club’s first-team.

However, according to the Mirror, Lopez has turned down a new deal with the La Liga giants, and will instead head for the Emirates to try his luck at breaking into the Gunners’ senior side – following in the footsteps of fellow Spaniards Jon Toral, Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin.

Lopez confirmed the move by altering his Twitter and Instagram profiles, and it’s thought he’ll sign a scholarship deal until he turns 17 in March.

Does Lopez’s decision highly just how persuasive the lure of Premier League football currently is?
