However, according to the Mirror, Lopez has turned down a new deal with the La Liga giants, and will instead head for the Emirates to try his luck at breaking into the Gunners’ senior side – following in the footsteps of fellow Spaniards Jon Toral, Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin.
Lopez confirmed the move by altering his Twitter and Instagram profiles, and it’s thought he’ll sign a scholarship deal until he turns 17 in March.
