Harry Forrester has said goodbye to Rangers and their fans with a classy post after his release from the club.
The English midfielder signed on at Ibrox back in 2015 while Mark Warburton was managed.
But he never really went on to make much of an impact apart eight goals in 44 appearances.
Forrester didn’t make a single first team appearance last season, instead spending it out on loan with AFC Wimbledon.
And now he’s been released upon his return, with Steven Gerrard deeming him surplus to requirements and the club negotiating his release.
Despite how it ended, Forrest no doubt leaves with fond memories of playing for Rangers – and his goodbye message on Twitter certainly suggests that:
It’s a goodbye from me! What a privilege it was scoring goals in front of you and a packed Ibrox, will stay with me forever! I wish @RangersFC all the best and can’t wait to see u back where u belong!! I’m excited for my next challenge! pic.twitter.com/N9svRvNhMv

Now Forrester will be on the lookout for a new club, with a return to England most likely for the midfielder.
As for Rangers, they’re busy rebuilding the squad under new manager Gerrard and Forrester’s exit should help them add more quality between now and the end of the season.
