Kevin Thomson has hit back at a Middlesbrough supporter on Twitter – and claimed playing at the club’s Riverside Stadium was like turning out in the reserves.
The former Scotland international was brought to the English Championship club from Rangers back in 2010, and spent an injury-hit three years at Boro before leaving for Hibs in 2013.
Thomson arrived at Middlesbrough with ambitions of helping the club spearhead a promotion challenge for the Premier League, but it’s safe to say his spell didn’t work out as anybody would’ve hoped.
When he was confronted by one of the Middlesbrough fans on social media earlier today, Thomson snapped back and gave his opinion of what life was like during his time in English football:
In fairness, Middlesbrough have never enjoyed the biggest of crowds in English football, but what do you make of Thomson’s comments?
Is he right to defend Rangers and take a dig at Boro?
