Liverpool have struck an early blow to Premier League rivals Chelsea before a ball has even been kicked in the 2018/19 season, after Jurgen Klopp‘s side managed to snap-up youngster Isaac Christie-Davies.
The 20-year-old has been earmarked as a potential future star at Stamford Bridge for several years now after joining the London club as an Under-11 player almost a decade ago.
According to the Metro, Chelsea’s hierarchy have been trying to negotiate a new long-term contract with Christie-Davies, with hopes he could make the breakthrough to the club’s first-team next season, but it appears Liverpool have stolen a march on Antonio Conte’s Blues.
Neither club have confirmed the free-transfer move but Christie-Davies has appeared in a promotional video for the charity Common Goal – and fans were quick to notice the fact he was wearing a Liverpool kit:

After Liverpool managed to nab Dominic Solanke last summer, Chelsea must be pretty sick and tired of seeing Liverpool nicking their best up-and-coming players.
What do you think of the move?
