Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Breaks Club Record on First Day of Pre-Season Training

Arsenal fans will be delighted to hear striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is fit and raring to go ahead of the new season, so much so that he’s already broken a club record after just one day of pre-season training.

Given Gabon failed to qualify for the World Cup, the former Borussia Dortmund star has been taking things easy all summer and appears in the shape of his life ahead of his first full campaign in the Premier League.

And new manager Unai Emery will be delighted with the new that Aubameyang has set a new club-best for the one-legged triple jump test, as you can see in this YouTube clip.

According to the Mirror, the 29-year-old managed to jump a whopping 7m 97cm – which is further than any of the club’s current and previous players have been able to muster up.

Admittedly, we have no idea how long the test has been going on for, but it’s still an odd little slice of trivia that we reckon Arsenal fans will enjoy.

How do you think Arsenal will fare under Emery next season?
