The Celtic striker shared on Instagram last night that he’s launched ‘sparkynutrition’ to promote and sell Herbalife products:
There are already other Scottish football figures involved in promoting the nutrition company.
Kilmarnock’s Kris Boyd and Hearts midfielder Ross Callachan are actively pushing Herbalife, as is former St Mirren and Partick Thistle defender Lee Mair and lower league players such as Scott Agnew, Craig Reid and Aaron Muirhead.
Griffiths is now their most high profile seller in Scottish football, but that comes with more stick – including some jibes from Brown and Roberts.
The Hoops captain saw his teammate’s post promoting Herbalife and couldn’t resist poking fun:
Roberts – who is now one of Griffiths’ former teammates after returning to Manchester City in the summer – had a funnier response to it:
Griffiths is currently injured and didn’t play a part in Celtic’s Champions League victories over Alashkert, but will no doubt have his sights set on getting back on the pitch to make an impact in qualifying over the next few weeks.
Herbalife should take up plenty of his time off the pitch too though.
