Sheffield Utd’s £5M Bid For Martyn Waghorn Gets a Very Strong Response on Twitter

Sheffield United have reportedly launched a £5million for former Rangers striker Martyn Waghorn – and the news has generated a pretty strong response from supporters on social media.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a particularly decent campaign throughout the 2017/18 season by scoring 16 goals in all competitions for English Championship side Ipswich Town, and that appears to have piqued the interest of rival teams in the division.

According to the Daily Star, United have offered Ipswich a whopping £5 million for Waghorn’s services as they look to spend some of the money generated by selling Wales midfielder David Brooks to Bournemouth earlier this month for £12 million.

Whilst there’s some fans on social media who are clearly fans of Waghorn, there are other who are pretty astonished by the fees being mentioned – particularly given Rangers sold him for just £250,000 back in 2017:

Is there any chance that Waghorn is worth anywhere near £5 million? The money in English football is pretty crazy, but what do you think?
