There’s Plenty of Celtic Fans Who Aren’t Keen on Signing John McGinn

Celtic have reportedly made their move for Hibs midfielder John McGinn – but there are a lot of Hoops supporters who don’t seem too keen on signing the Scotland international.

According to various reports in the media, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has sanctioned around £1.5 million for the 23-year-old, who only has one year remaining on his current contract at Easter Road.

Thought to be a lifelong Celtic fan, McGinn’s grandfather Jack was once on the Celtic board, and speculation about McGinn becoming the long-term successor to Scott Brown in the club’s midfield has raged for some time now.

Given Celtic’s financial superiority in the Scottish Premiership, they might be the only club in Scotland who could prise McGinn away from Hibs, and whilst we’re sure there’s lots of Celtic followers who’d love to see McGinn wearing their iconic shirt next season, it turns out there’s definitely a few people who aren’t so keen:

Do you think McGinn would definitely improve Celtic’s midfield? Should Rodgers continue to chase him?

What do you think?
