The Hoops will travel to Armenia next week looking to earn a positive result to bring back to the second leg in Glasgow a week later.
Fans will be hoping it can be as safe a passage as possible to the Champions League group stages, but that hasn’t always been the case over previous years so qualifying will make for nervous viewing.
The good news is that the first leg will be televised – with Premier Sports announcing that they’ll carry the match out in Yerevan.
Actually, they’ll carry the away game for the second round qualifier too if they make it there, but there’s so far been no confirmation of who will broadcast the home legs in both rounds:
We are delighted to confirm LIVE coverage of the Champions League Qualifier between Alashkert & @CelticFC on Tuesday July 10th at 5PM
— Premier Sports 📺 (@PremierSportsTV) July 5, 2018
Premier Sports have broadcast qualifying games for other Scottish teams in the past so fans will be familiar with their coverage as well as the process for signing up for the channel.
Celtic will play Shamrock Rovers in another pre-season friendly on Saturday before travelling out to Armenia for Tuesday’s match, which is a 5pm kick off.
