As we’ve told you previously, the Colombian striker has struggled somewhat since the start of the new campaign, with the recent Europa League qualifier away to FC Shkupi a recent low point, with manager Steven Gerrard far from happy with his display.
But Morelos bounced back in Thursday night’s away win over Croatian side Osijek, scoring the only goal of a crucial victory.
And Gerrard kept faith with Morelos in the lone striker role for this afternoon’s match against Championship side Wigan, in what is the club’s final warm-up match of the close season:

After the return match with Osijek in Glasgow on Thursday, Gerrard and his Rangers players open their Premiership campaign away to Aberdeen a week today.
