Kylian Mbappé produced an absolutely outrageous slice of skill against Belgium in the World Cup tonight – and it’s fair to say he’s just about everyone’s new favourite player.
The 19-year-old was obviously a global star before this summer’s tournament in Russia, but the last three weeks have seen him establish his reputation on the international level, with his three goals help Les Bleus’ push for glory.
And with his side winning 1-0 in tonight’s semi-final in Saint Petersburg, Mbappé showed absolutely no signs of feeling the pressure – and instead started behaving like he was turning out in a meaningless training match, as this brilliant little clip shows:

Danny Murphy just said Mbappe went from 0-60 in one second, which puts him well in contention for every Olympic Gold medal in 2020

Kylian Mbappé has created 6 chances vs. Belgium, 4 more than any other player on the pitch.

Sadly, the audacious little flick didn’t result in a goal, because if it did that would surely go down as the greatest assist of all-time, no?
And with Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid this summer, could Los Blancos launch an all-out effort to bring Mbappé to the Spanish capital?
