Liverpool youngster Rafa Camacho showed he can have a big impact for the first team this season after playing well in last night’s friendly with Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were in action against their English Premier League rivals in New York, continuing their pre-season tours of the US.

Given both teams have made moves in the transfer market already this summer, it would have been interesting for fans staying up late to see how their teams are taking shape.

And Liverpool fans would have been happier with their side emerging 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Salah and Sadio Mane.

They will also be delighted with the impact of Camacho, who got another opportunity to show his quality at the top level.

The 18-year-old attacker is one of several youngsters in the pre-season travelling party and he laid down a marker for getting a regular spot in squads this season by brilliantly setting up Salah’s goal:

There may have been a hint of offside, but Camacho and Salah won’t care.

Camacho is a Portuguese youth international and won’t be known to many considering this is his first involvement with Klopp’s first team.

But the early signs suggest Liverpool have another top talent on their hands.
