Video: Look Away Now, Celtic Fans…Stuart Armstrong Provides Delightful Assist in Saints Friendly

Stuart Armstrong provided a delightful assist in Southampton‘s friendly earlier today, as the former Celtic midfielder continues to adapt to his new club.

The Scotland international moved from Parkhead to the Premier League side earlier this month, in a deal worth around £7 million to the Hoops, and he appears to be settling in with his new team-mates perfectly.

Losing the 26-year-old to the Saints had seemed inevitable for some time but and when the news broke of the transfer, it left many Celtic supporters pretty disappointed to be losing one of the favourite stars.

Brendan Rodgers’ loss appears to be Mark Hughes’s gain, as Armstrong’s cross in today’s friendly against Jiangsu Suning shows:

With only one year remaining on his contract in Glasgow, a departure was on the cards for Armstrong for quite a while, but how do you think he’ll fare in English football?
