Moussa Dembele looked very sharp for his goal against Sparta Prague yesterday.
The French striker is enjoying a consistent run of fitness after finishing the season strong for Celtic, playing for France’s Under 21s at the start of the summer and then returning to the Hoops for what will be a tough pre-season.
And that bodes very well for the upcoming Champions League qualifiers, with Celtic playing against Alashkert in the first round next week.
Brendan Rodgers took the opportunity to play two friendlies yesterday – the first a closed doors friendly against BW Linz before the second was played in front of a crowd against Sparta.
Dembele was involved in the second game and it was his goal that gave Celtic a 1-0 victory.
And he looked very sharp as he outpaced and outmuscled a Sparta defender to smash home:

Now Rodgers will be hoping Dembele can stay fit and remain at the club to lead their charge for success on all fronts this season.
