Real Madrid‘s thank you video tribute for Cristiano Ronaldo reminds us all of just how incredible he’s been while at the Spanish giants.

The Portuguese striker shocked world football yesterday when his £99.2million move to Italian champions Juventus was confirmed.

Considering the success Ronaldo has had at Madrid, most recently lifting the Champions League for a third consecutive time, it seemed more realistic that he’d see out the remainder of his career in Spain.

He is 33 after all and you’d have thought it would be unlikely another major team would spend the money to get him.

But Juventus have, splashing out a record fee for an Italian club before handing Ronaldo a four-year contract.

They’ll be in no doubt about the player they’ve signed, but in case anyone else is doubting Cristiano, just look at Madrid’s goodbye video for him:

Awesome!

In his nine years at Madrid, Ronaldo scored 450 goals in 438 games, helping them to eight major trophies, including four Champions League victories.

There’s no doubt he’ll go down as the greatest player to ever wear their shirt.
