The 21-year-old winger has been regarded as one of the most exciting young prospects at Liverpool for several years now, and spent the second-half of last season on-loan at Bristol City in the English Championship.
Kent will be well known to not only Gerrard, but his fellow coach at Ibrox, Michael Beale.
It turns out Beale – who was previously Head of Coaching at Liverpool before joining Gerrard in Glasgow – played a big part in helping Kent develop into the exciting midfielder he is, and the opportunity to work with him again was simply too good to turn down.
