Brendan Rodgers Sparks Transfer Speculation After Being Spotted at Man City v Huddersfield

Brendan Rodgers was spotted at the Etihad this afternoon taking in Manchester City v Huddersfield Town – sparking transfer speculation amongst Celtic fans.

The Hoops are known to be in the market for a centre-back before the transfer window slams shut at the end of this month, and have recently been linked with City defender Jason Denayer, but the Belgian international now looks set to sign for French side Lyon.

But Rodgers’ was spotted in the stands at the home of the Premier League champions earlier today during Sky Sports’ coverage of the match, and it has left some supporters wondering if the Northern Irishman is perhaps eyeing a deal for one of the teams’ players.

Of course, Celtic have a link with City and signed their Australian winger Daniel Arzani on a two-year loan deal earlier this week – but could Rodgers be eyeing up another of City’s exciting young prospects?

Is Rodgers down south to try and finalise a much-needed defensive signing?
