Celtic Fans Really Aren’t Excited by Talk of a Bid For Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna

Celtic are being linked with a move for Aberdeen centre-back Scott McKenna – but the club’s supporters don’t seem overly keen on a move for the Scotland international.

The tall defender established himself as a regular in the Dons first-team last season under Derek McInnes and helped the club secure its fourth consecutive second-place finish in the Scottish Premiership.

McKenna, 21, has since been linked with a move to Swansea City in the English Championship, but Celtic’s need for a new central defender has led to rumours that Brendan Rodgers could be tempted to make a move.

According to the BBC, McKenna has been discussed as a potential target inside the corridors of power at Parkhead, but there doesn’t seem to be too much support for the potential move on social media:

Given he’d probably cost a pretty hefty transfer fee, is McKenna really the type of defender Celtic should be looking at just now?

Is he good enough to develop into a top Hoops star?
