Ex-Rangers Midfielder Josh Windass Takes a Dig at Celtic Fans and Dedryck Boyata

Ex-Rangers Midfielder Josh Windass Takes a Dig at Celtic Fans and Dedryck Boyata

Josh Windass might’ve departed the Glasgow goldfish bowl but it appears the former Rangers midfielder is still taking a keen interest in football matters north of the border – particularly relating to Celtic’s Dedryck Boyata.

The 24-year-old left Ibrox in a surprise transfer earlier this month after Wigan Athletic agreed a fee with Rangers, and Steven Gerrard revealed Windass was keen to move back to English football.

Earlier this afternoon, we told you how Celtic supporters were far from happy with Dedryck Boyata being included in the starting line-up to face Hamilton today, and the Hoops fans unveiled a banner making their frustrations felt inside Parkhead just before kick-off.

And it seems Windass had his own take on the Boyata situation – and simply couldn’t resist taking a dig at his old foes:

Of course, Windass is referring to the hype surrounding Boyata’s performances for Belgium in the World Cup, and the fact that ex-Celtic striker John Hartson claimed he was in the same bracket as £50 million Man City defender John Stones.

But what do you think of Windass’s tweet?
