The attacking midfielder was a surprise departure for the Sky Blues last Thursday, on the final day of the English transfer window, with the Latics swooping in a deal thought to be worth around £2.75million.
The 24-year-old endured an up-and-down time during his two-year stay at Ibrox and was regularly involved in Twitter spats with Gers supporters, but Windass seems keen to make it known how much he values his time in Glasgow.
